Thieves stole up to $30,000 worth of jewellery in a ram raid on a Newcastle shop
early this morning.
Police say a stolen white van ploughed into the Williams Jewellers store at The Junction just before 3:30.
The offenders then got out and smashed through several display cabinets, before fleeing with diamonds and other valuables.
Officers are still searching for those involved – and say the vehicle used has signwriting on the side, and possible rear-end damage.
