WEATHER UPDATE: 19 JULY 2012

19 JULY 2012

SNOW REPORT

What a beautiful site we woke to here in Perisher, a 3cm dusting across the resort, blue skies, little to no wind and an incredible amount of terrain open..

Thanks to the temperatures dropping below -10 overnight we saw 141 snowguns produce over 10’000 cubic metres of snow…46 lifts opened across all 4 resort areas with 95 groomed runs available… the cover was firm this morning but softened throughout the day… the groomers choices were wylies, sun valley, blanchys, side saddle and bloody mary…

All 5 terrain parks are in great condition with the SLopestyle on front valley now consisting of an equally large rail line next to the massive 3 jump line, The Columbia fun park saw new additions go in over night now with 5 jumps ranging from 10-15ft it’s perfect for beginners and intermediates learning the basics…

This beautiful weather is expected to stick around for the next few days so perfect timing for the weekend and the 1 st event of the playstation nighttime slopestyle series kicking off this Saturday under the lights on front Valley, in Perisher this is Luke Kneller for NBN news.
