MAN SENTENCED OVER 2014 NEW LAMBTON ROBBERY

A man who attempted to rob a cash-in-transit guard outside a New Lambton bank in 2014, could be released from prison in June next year.

Chad Butterworth was today sentenced to two years and 11 months in jail, with a non-parole period of 18 months.

The 24-year-old was shot in the arm by the guard during in the incident.
