Young surf star Mitch Parkinson has a shot of surfing with his uncle Joel at next year’s Fiji Pro after taking out the V-Q-S Competition at Duranbah.
The 19 year old scored a nine point wave in the 10-minute final, with fellow Cooly kid Noah Deane and Nick Callister unable to keep up.
Mitch’s win means he’ll compete in the National Series Final in Byron next year.
The event’s winner will compete in the V-Q-S World Championships during the Fiji Pro in June.
