Broadmeadow Magic has won the annual charity football shield, beating Lake Macquarie 3-1.
Luck was with the the reigning premiers early.
Last season’s leading goal scorer Chris Berlin added a second before half-time, and Magic were never headed.
The game raised $4,000 for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.
