An elderly man has been resuscitated after a boating accident at Port Stephens.
The 83-year-old fell from his vessel at Salamander Bay, and was pulled unconscious from the water just after 9am.
He was flown to John Hunter Hospital by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter, and is reported to be in a stable condition.
Yesterday, a 70-year-old man drowned after falling out of a dinghy, while attempting to board a yacht at Tanilba Bay.
The Roads and Maritime authority has repeated its warning that people boating alone, especially in craft of less than 4.8 metres should wear life jackets.
