Hunter team Mindaribba has taken out the Mens Cup Final in the Ella Sevens Rugby tournament, after a dominant finals performance against Anthony Anno Avery.
It was a disappointing end for the Sydney Skin Dogs, who were on track for their third straight title before being knocked out in the semis.
The two-day event staged in Coffs Harbour, drew around 40 indigenous teams from across the country.
Wallaby legends, Mark, Glen and Gary Ella created the Ella Sevens event in 2008.
