Goonellabah’s ‘at capacity sewerage network’ will soon get a helping hand with construction starting on a $13.7 million pipeline.
The first hole was dug out today for the Southern Truck Main project, with our politicians needing to exhaust a little more strength than usual.
The 9.4 kilometre pipeline from Goonellabah to East Lismore will help cater for the city’s growth over the next 25 years.
“It means the housing that’s planned for Invercauld, for the Crawford land in East Lismore, all that land can now go ahead”
Work should be complete by the end of the year.
