Efforts have been ramped up to ease the growing skills shortage in the Hunter.
Launched this morning, the second annual Skills on Show event will be expanded, to include more interactive elements.
The show will be on display over the three days of the Newcastle Show, linking businesses with potential employees.
“The next ten year and 15 years projections only have skills shortages only getting worse at the moment so there should not be anyone we shouldn’t be able to find a full time job for if the want to go into mining and minerals sector.”
