There’s some good news for the Bangalow community, with the local bowling club now back in their hands.
The struggling club went into voluntary administration last month due to mounting debts, but yesterday creditors agreed to return control of the club to the board.
Community fundraising netted two thirds of the $300,000 needed to save the club, while the remaining debt has been re-financed.
However, there’s still no word on when the club will re-open.
” We don’t want to simply open the doors and business as usual, we want change made in the club, the communities looking for change.”
