The dedication of 12 mid north coast volunteers was recognised at a ceremony in Laurieton this morning, as part of International Volunteers Day.
Member for Lyne, Rob Oakeshott, did the honours, presenting National Volunteer Awards to firefighters, surf life savers and community advocates.
Three members of one family from Kooringhat, near Taree, were recognised for their devotion to the Camp Quality program.
And the efforts of local volunteers helping others overseas were also rewarded.
