Police are hunting a group of men who entered a Lake Macquarie home early this morning, shooting a man inside.
Just after midnight, at least two men forced their way into an Arcadia Vale dwelling and fired on a 28-year-old resident.
He received gunshot wounds to the left side of his abdomen, and his hand.
After being treated at the scene by paramedics, he was taken to John Hunter Hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.
Police are offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information.
