Merewether’s Ryan Callinan has jumped 17 places up the Qualifying Series rankings, despite being knocked out in the quarter finals by Ewing.
Callinan scored a 6.8 on his opening wave to grab the lead and soon backed that up with a 5.5.
But with just under 20 seconds remaining, he couldn’t produce the 6.5 he needed to advance to the semis.
