CONVENIENCE STORE ROBBERIES

Port Macquarie detectives have released security footage of a man they believe can help with their inquiries into two separate armed hold-ups on the same convenience store.

On Saturday, a man armed with a fence paling entered the Owen Street store and demanded money.

24 hours later a man, believed to be the same person, stole cigarettes and cash after threatening the shop keeper with a bat.

Police are hoping a woman who had been in the store minutes earlier can help identify the offender.

The woman was driving a white Mitsubishi Magna which was parked in front of the shop, but police do not believe she was involved in the incidents.
