POLICE HUNT BANK BANDIT
Police on the north coast are continuing their search for an armed bandit who is believed to be responsible for the robberies of a bank and two credit unions.
The spate of robberies sparked an intensive man-hunt, after a hold-up at the Banana Coast Credit Union at Nambucca yesterday afternoon.
A search by the police dog squad in Nambucca failed to find the man.
Police believe the man robbed a credit union in Urunga earlier yesterday, as well as the ANZ bank in Coffs Harbour on Wednesday afternoon.
They’re looking for a caucasian man, tall, thin with brown hair and a gap in his front teeth.
Anyone with information on the robberies is urged to contact police.
