It was an eclectic mix of fashion and fundraising at Southern Cross University today.
Fashionable fillys and mares enjoyed champagne and classical entertainment, for a charity Melbourne Cup luncheon.
All funds raised from today’s event will go towards “Our Kids,” a foundation raising money for medical equipment for the Lismore Base Hospital’s Children’s Ward.
And while the kids will be the major winners of today’s event, the adults weren’t too far behind them.
“We’ve got a two and a half thousand dollar aquamarine ring that will be our major prize for the raffle. Best dressed mare and filly, both will win a pearl strand necklace and matching earrings.”
Our Kid’s hopes to raise at least $10 000 from today’s festivities.
