Manning-Great Lakes police are searching for a man who held up a bowling club at Blackhead, north of Forster, overnight.
The man, who was wearing a Halloween-style mask and armed with a machete, smashed through a glass sliding door at about 10 o’clock.
He entered the club threatening the two employees and a number of patrons, before stealing money from a safe and fleeing along High Street.
The man was chased by two club patrons, but disappeared into bushland.
