$2.5-MILLION UPGRADES GET UNDERWAY AT ARMIDALE AIRPORT

Armidale Regional Airport could soon service more flights, with nearly $2.5-million worth of upgrades underway.

Work has begun on a new grass runway – after the previous one was damaged during the Black Summer bushfires.

A new taxiway, light refuelling apron and storm water drainage will also be installed.

The improvements have been jointly funded by council and federal government.
