Manning residents will have an extra week to make submissions to the coal seam gas enquiry.
The decision was made by the Legislative Council committee following a large number of requests for an extension from members of the public and the coal seam gas industry.
Submissions are now due on Wednesday, the 14th of September.
A public hearing to discuss coal seam gas exploration will also be held on the mid north coast on the 31st of October.
Community group, the Manning Alliance, says more than 350 submissions to the enquiry have so far been lodged.
