GAV’S WEATHER | WINTER STORMS ON THE WAY

One of the most significant early season cold fronts is impacting SE Australia tonight.

A large rain band with storms is crossing the local region tonight.

The cold air is now sweeping in across SA and Victoria turning rain to sow over mountain areas.

There’s another low in the west.

A rare event is going to occur where both sides of the country get wild weather at the same time due to two powerful lows.

As the front sweeps across northern NSW tonight a large rain band with storms embedded in it will affect the region.

SE NSW and Eastern Victoria will cop the brunt of the winter storm with large snow accumulations expected along the Great Dividing range.

The rain band will move through overnight and clear tomorrow morning.

The wet weather will ease before the winds pick back up and the shower return, sweeping across the western plains.

It will start to snow tomorrow evening across the northern NSW ranges.
