UPPER HUNTER’S DRY SPELL LOOKS SET TO CONTINUE
Hunter Local Land Services says it’s too early to be concerned about the recent lack of rain in the Upper Hunter.
Record falls in January mean cattle prices are still high – but the current dry spell doesn’t look like being broken soon.
“Well we’re hoping for a little something next week. There’s a little bit of change, it doesn’t look very significant. I say we’re going to see a more significant change come around April time.”
The Upper Hunter has received less than 10 millimetres of rain in six weeks.
