An embarrassed workman is tonight grateful for this morning’s gusty winds, after he ruptured a gas main, while digging post holes at a new Biggera Waters estate.
He claims he checked with the property’s owner before starting work, but quickly struck trouble.
But thanks to strong winds, the danger quickly passed and evacuated residents were allowed to return home shortly after.
