HOUSE FIRE TREATED AS SUSPICIOUS

Fire fighters have managed to save a house in Blackwall after it went up in flames late last night.

The fire took hold just before 11pm, destroying two bedrooms and a lounge room, while the rest of the house suffered smoke and water damage.

The damage bill is estimated to be around $150 000.

Forensic investigators examined the Commonwealth Avenue property this morning in an effort to determine the cause of the blaze.

The fire is being treated as suspicious.
