Wauchope residents took up the offer to help the environment over the weekend for National Tree Day event at Bain Park.
Free seedlings were handed out to community members eager to do their bit to help the program, which is spearheaded by Planet Ark.
More than 2,500 tree planting and land care activities were organised across the country to celebrate the day.
Since National Tree Day began in 1996, more than 16-million native trees, shrubs and grasses have been planted.
