The new-look Marketown in Newcastle’s west end is finally about to open its doors, more than two months behind schedule.
The finishing touches were being put on the development today ahead of tomorrow’s ribbon cutting at 8am.
Woolworths, Big W, Dan Murphys and a handful of specialty shops will then open, but centre management is yet to lease a number of outlets.
Once Marketown’s full, shoppers will be able to peruse more than 70 stores.
