SARAH WAUGH’S PARENTS SAY INQUEST’S BEEN EXCRUCIATINGLY PAINFUL

The parents of Sarah Waugh, who died after falling from a horse during a Jillaroo camp, say this week’s coronial inquest has been excruciatingly painful.

The court’s heard the horse she was riding had been a racehorse, and that Sarah was not the first to have fallen off the animal.

Her mother Juliana today said “When Sarah died it was the worst this that could’ve happened in my life I guess this must be the next worst thing to happen in my life.”

While Sarah’s father Mark said his hopeful the inquest will lead to changes in the way such camps are managed.

“So that other people who chose to do this course and other families are not put through what we have been.”

A finding is expected in December.
