Round four of Newcastle rugby league wrapped up this afternoon as Wests hammered Lakes, Wyong beat the Scorpions and Central belted the Bay.
Central started strong with Tom Morton crossing off a John Schofield pass.
The Blues hit back but James McCabe was held up over the line.
Sharp work from dummy half from Shane Ryan was finished off by Joe Means for Central’s second.
Tensions flared midway through the half but Dominic Horne came off second best.
The Blues added some respect to the scoreboard late in the half when Nick Arena grabbed a Dane Queenan kick.
