The open shop follows Wednesday’s public meeting, which rapidly descended into a rowdy protest.

Nothing that metgasco says will counteract the truth of what people are experiencing in areas where coal seam gas mining is flourishing. The sickness of the people and the environment is being ignored as was the people who had cancer who Erin Brokevich helped. The noise and danger from the constant trucks on the roads, the problems that communities face from ‘fly-in, fly-out’ workers . . . . there is nothing good for communities – even the so called infrastructure benefits are only there while the miners are there . . . among other things. What we need is to invest in renewable, sustainable resources – any idiot can see that . . . or maybe not.
I have heard many horror stories and seen pictures of environmental degradation. I haven’t heard or seen much else.
I’m glad some folks have beamed down to Earth Star Trek style to bring us their wonderful sustainable energy forms. We human idoits really need it. After all, us idiots that have actual scienitific and technical backgrounds know the earth has not yet developed large scale sustainablbe energy, excpept for that scary nuclear stuff. And we idiots see through those greedy salesmen of solar and wind and other fanasies that can only sales and produce their tiny energy supplies when subsidized by fossilt fuels. Yes, that’s a real idoits solution, lets us fossil fuels to supply those “renewables” that are being pettled to the idiots out there. Bottom line, we all want true sustainable renewables, and if they really existed, then plenty of those greedy businesses would be giving them to us. There is nothing in their way except the fact that they don’t exist.
Scott are you aware of the BZE Zero Carbon Australia 2020 Stationary
Energy Plan?
It is a detailed and practical roadmap to decarbonise the Australian stationary energy sector within a decade.

There are many barriers in the way to renewable energy sources feeding into the grid, none of them are technical.
Part of the problem is the greedy businessmen who are already established blocking the way for the new entrepreneurs who would like to work to make this happen.
