Waratah’s Richard Gardner has taken out the 10 kilometre race at this year’s Hill to Harbour Challenge.
In the women’s division, Sarah Crowley beat home Lisa Flint, who was making her return from injury after the Commonwealth Games.
More than 2200 runners took part in the Challenge’s three events, which started from Cooks Hill surf club and wound their way through King Edward Park, into Fort Scratchley and down to Newcastle Harbour.
