  1. Residents of the Bungawalbin have repeatedly called for investigations into breaches by Forests NSW concerning logging operations in Doubleduke State Forest which abuts many of their properties. Thanks to Cate Faerhmann MLC and the other Greens candidates for taking the time to personally inspect the damage done to Endangered Ecological Communities within our State Forests. Steve Cansdell Nationals MP for Clarence also attended this meeting but unfortunately did not have the time to join us in the forest and was unwilling to commit himself to investigating these ongoing breaches along with Forests NSW’s lack of oversight. The local community is not against sustainable logging in our State Forests but we do expect logging contractors to abide by the regulations and when found to be in violation, penalized appropriately. Our State Forests belong to all Australians and are invaluable to the long term viability of our environment.
