EnergyAustralia will end its long association with the Newcastle Knights at the end of the year, citing the club’s recent arbitration with Hunter Venues.
With the Knights set to relinquish management of the stadium, EnergyAustralia says the “sponsorship rights the Knights can offer has changed”.
However, it does intends to bid for a naming rights deal with the stadium’s new managers.
