Ballina Jockey Club has received more than 200 nominations for Sunday’s race meeting in memory of Northern Rivers jockey, Iris Nielsen.
31 of those nominations are for the feature event, the $50,000 Iris Nielsen Handicap, which is reserved for female jockeys.
Final acceptances will be made tomorrow, with nine races looking likely.
