For the first time in the history of the Coffs Coast, visitors are being asked to rate the region as a holiday destination.
The councils of Coffs Harbour and Bellingen have joined forces with state and national tourism bodies to find out the perceptions and expectations of tourists.
Throughout this month, staff from Tourism Research Australia will be conducting face to face surveys from Urunga to Woolgoolga and out to Dorrigo.
The results of the research will be used to improve marketing campaigns.
