A 50-year-old Sydney man has drowned, after falling overboard from a yacht off Red Rock, north of Coffs Harbour.
The incident happened overnight – and the Dal Segno was towed into Coffs Harbour marina this morning.
It has several torn sails after battling moderate to strong winds, a two-metre plus swell and wet weather.
A 42-year-old woman, believed to be the man’s wife, was onboard the yacht and activated an emergency beacon to assist police in locating the vessel.
The man’s body was retrieved off Woolgoolga at 7am, by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
