A wrangle between surfers, fishermen and a state government-run aged care provider appears to be over.
Access to Stockton Beach through the Stockton Centre was cut after a fatal accident in the grounds last July.
It meant those who normally walked to the beach, faced a five-kilometre round trip.
Minister for the Hunter, Jodi McKay, says after meeting with surfers, she’s negotiated another access point through Hunter Water’s Fullerton Street pumping station.
