The Newcastle Jets’ match against North Queensland tomorrow night has been called off, and Sunday’s game moved to Melbourne, due to the state of the playing surface at EnergyAustralia Stadium.
As revealed on NBN News last night, the pitch has been damaged by the recent Super X motorcycle event, leaving ground staff unable to repair it in time.
Football Federation Australia inspected the surface late today, and was forced to make the call a short time ago.
