A 35-year-old man has faced Gosford Local Court, charged over the alleged kidnap of his ex-girlfriend at Kurri Kurri earlier this month.
Jason Mckay is accused of forcing the 24-year-old into his car on Barton Street at 4pm on the 5th of August, and holding her hostage at a house at Ellalong for three hours.
Police later searched the property and allege they found a shotgun, and the car used during the kidnapping.
McKay was refused bail and is due to reappear in court on the 8th of October.
