A proposal to amalgamate Uralla, Guyra and Armidale-Dumaresq Councils will be debated, and perhaps decided, later this month in Armidale.
The Boundaries Commission will hold a public hearing into the proposal on August the 23rd.
The hearing is expected to go for a number of days, with written submissions or requests to speak to be lodged by August 14.
Following the hearing, the Commission will make a recommendation to the Local Government minister.
Meanwhile, Uralla Council will hold a public meeting on Saturday, while Armidale will call on community feedback next Monday night.
