A man is in a serious condition in hospital following a freak accident at the Glen Innes Correctional Facility this afternoon.
A man in his late 20’s was crushed by a pallet of flat packed cardboard, weighing about 300 kilograms.
The Westpac Helicopter airlifted the man to Lismore Hospital, with suspected spinal injuries.
It’s unclear whether the man was a staff member or prisoner.
