A woman is dead and another has been badly injured in a motorcycle crash in the Northern Tablelands.
The incident occurred on the Waterfall Way, about 50-kilometres east of Armidale, at around 1:30 this afternoon.
Police say the woman was crossing the road, when she was struck by a motorcycle.
She suffered serious injuries, including leg fractures, and was taken to Tamworth Hospital, while the female motorcycle rider died at the scene.
The road remains closed in both directions and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
