Port Macquarie body boarder Damian King’s campaign for a third world title was boosted today when he won the Soldiers Beach Pro on the Central Coast.
King dispensed with fellow Aussies Joe Clarke in the quarter final and Michael Novy in the semi to set up a final show down with South Africa’s Jared Houston.
Despite the dwindling surf, King managed to get the upper hand, hanging on to win the event.
The IBA World Tour moves on to Brazil next month.
