The State Crime Command, Maitland police and firefighters have been involved in an all-day operation at a suspected drug lab in the Hunter Valley hamlet of Paterson.
Police used a warrant to raid a rundown farmhouse where they arrested a 49-year-old man on charges relating to the manufacture of amphetamines and growing cannabis.
Wearing special chemical protection suits, investigators combed the Gresford road property with fire fighters on hand, due to the volatile nature of some of the materials allegedly discovered at the house.
