500 people in the Darkwood area have been isolated by floodwaters for the second time in a fortnight, with the Bellinger River reaching a peak of 4.4 metres this afternoon.
The Clarence and Nambucca Valleys remain on flood alert tonight, along with the Hastings and the Macleay Valley.
Meanwhile, the threat has passed at Coffs Creek, where residents today prepared for the worst.
