KOREAN MAN DROWNS ON NORTH COAST
A 27-year-old Korean man has drowned at a notoriously dangerous beach on the New South Wales north coast.
The man, who was swimming with friends at Red Rock north of Woolgoolga late yesterday, was swept away by a rip.
An off-duty lifeguard pulled him from the water, but was unable to revive the man.
The beach has been the scene of a string of drownings in recent years.
There have been calls for improved signage in foreign languages, to warm overseas visitors about its dangerous rips.
