A petition opposing any plans to close or downgrade Wauchope’s iconic theme park, Timbertown, has been forwarded to Port Macquarie-Hastings Council.
Oxley MP and state Nationals Leader, Andrew Stoner says the petition, containing 4,500 signatures, demonstrates overwhelming public support for the heritage attraction.
The council is undertaking a review of Timbertown and expects to make a decision on its future within six months.
