NO COMPLAINTS AS CONVOY FOR KIDS DISTURBS THE PEACE

Blasts from truck horns disrupted Sunday sleep-ins between Tuggerah and Gosford as more than 200 big rigs rolled through the Central Coast for the annual Convoy for Kids charity fundraiser.

The Transport Workers Union event is now in its 13th year.

Organisers hope to raise about $30-thousand for young burns victims as well as grandparents who’ve taken guardianship of their grandchildren.

  1. Are you serious? All that noise was for a charity? I thought the truckers were having a dispute about conditions and taking it out on “Sunday sleep-ins” like myself. Couldn’t they have done something a little bit more… quiet? All they did was get me cranky about their disrespect for afternoon shift workers.

Maybe they could have held a BBQ at the waterfront. I hear those things can raise quite a bit of money.
