The family of 80s surfing prodigy Nick Wood is trying to track down his Bells Beach trophy, lost around a decade ago while he was moving house.
The Newcastle-bred boardrider was just 16 when he won the famous event in 1987, and remains the youngest person to ever do so.
The trophy apparently turned up inside a Newcastle storage unit recently, and was then sold at auction.
Anyone who knows where it may be, is asked to contact the family.
