It’s official – Kurrawa has lost the 2013 Australian Surf Life Saving Championships to North Kirra and Tugun.
The announcement comes three months after a 14 year-old competitor lost his life in rough surf.
The event will be pushed back a fortnight, to avoid cyclone season.
