Beach volleyball returns to the Gold Coast this weekend with the National Beach Volleyball Series.
Organisers are using the event in Surfers Paradise to lobby Commonwealth Games organisers, to include the sport at the 2018 Gold Coast event.
Beach Volleyball Australia officials recently tabled submissions to all the relevant governing bodies, and they expect a decision by the end of the month.
Knock-out matches will be played tomorrow, before the finals on Sunday.
