JETS YOUTH TEAM STILL FLYING IN NBN STATE LEAGUE

The Newcastle Jets A-League side may be in jeopardy, but the Youth Team continues to impress in the NBN State League.
Their round two rivals South Cardiff claimed the half time advantage after Jarryd Johnson’s shot fell to Martin Raines.
But the best entertainment came after the break, James Virgili showed his class with a cutting run, before teeing up Kale Bradbery.
Just a minute later Mason Campbell put the Jets in front for the first time.
The Gunners looked to have salvaged a draw when a long throw fell to Daniel Johnson, whose looping header found the net.
But Virgili would have the last laugh, grabbing the winner in stoppage time.
